NEW CLOSE GENIUS, a six month old bull calf by Bringlee Blackstar out of Tamhorn Ulay, started his showing career by taking the first prize ticket in the Young Bull Class at the North West British Blue Cattle Breeders Club Open Calf Show held at Chelford Agricultural Centre on Saturday 3rd September.

His "stable" companions NEW CLOSE GRAFTER, GROUNDSMAN and GALAXY were awarded 2nd, 4th & 5th places in the same class.

In the Young Handler under 12 years class MOLLY and EMILY were awarded the 2nd & 4th prize tickets respectively.
